Living in Fear: Stories of DACA Recipients
On Sept. 5, 2017, the Trump administration rescinded Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), an Obama administration immigration policy. The program gave children of undocumented immigrants an opportunity to apply for two year renewable work and student permits. In this video, two young women share their experiences as DACA recipients. Political science professors at MU also explain the possible impact of this decision.
